A glass of wine day

It was a moody day for me, so much so I finally had some wine tonight. The first alcohol of our lockdown. That should tell you something.

On the bright side, I wrote 1100 words on a fic I'm inspired by. And I made spice cupcakes with cream cheese frosting last night, so today when I wanted to eat my feelings, I had cake to do it with. Oh, and I found out a new Indian grocer I've been dying to go to but forgot about with our shelter in place orders is mostly stocked with lots of stuff we love, so I'm going to make a point of going there on Friday when we do our weekly shop.

My garden is going like gangsters right now. Our grapevine kind of took off last year, so Craig has all these plans to make it really fruitful this year. He also needs to set something up for my peas because those are sprouting like mad. Even my broccoli and cauliflower is up already. One of our plum trees has an aphid problem we're going to have to treat, but while it will affect this year's production, we should be good for next year. The other plum tree already has a ton of fruit on it, more than enough for me to can, so I'm not too fussed. I'm finding the whole process very zen this year. Probably because it makes me feel like I'm accomplishing something to help my family. Even if it's just a little thing.
