What I'm Reading Wednesday

I haven't actually done a lot of reading in the past two weeks, which is a little sad considering I have more time now.

I finished Harrison Squared, Breakout, and Colder Than Sin. All three were fun and worth the time. I did think the last third in both Harrison Squared and Breakout weren't the strongest, but ultimately they were satisfying so that's enough for me.

1. Still trying to get through The Passage. With everything that's going on in the world right now, reading about such a dismal, hopeless world isn't necessarily pleasant. Plus, about a third into the book, it jumped 100 years into the future and introduced a whole new worldview and vocabulary that was a struggle to get a grip on. I have one now, but I'm not enjoying it nearly as much as I did the beginning.

2. Strangelets by Michelle Gagnon: A YA novel about a group of six teenagers from around the world who die at the same time and then wake up together in a hospital that doesn't have any entrances or exits or people. It's a great premise, but I haven't had the chance to get far yet.

3. Hate To Want You by Alisha Rai: I loved this author's early work, so decided to have a go at some of her mainstream romance. This is an exes who have turned into enemies who still can't keep their hands off each other story. What I love about this author is that she embraces diversity, writes strong heroines, and knows how to do hot sex scenes.

4. Margaret Fuller: A New American Life by Megan Marshall: A biography of Margaret Fuller, a trailblazer from the 19th century. Just started so no opinion yet.
