It's May already?

Where did April go? Not that I'm complaining because this puts us at less than 3 weeks until the move, but still, pulling April off my calendar kind of took me by surprise this morning.

It's been a good day. Went to the mall this morning because we needed to buy, if you can believe it, luggage. When we did our first clearout for the charity shops a few months back, we got rid of every piece that was broken or damaged and used them to take the stuff to the shops. That left us with one suitcase. Which isn't enough for this upcoming move. So we bought two more large cases, bright red as I preferred, and all is well with the world again.

Also got my hair cut, which was well needed. I'm waiting a week before doing the color again, just so that I don't have to worry about roots before MR. Look at me be vain.

And my pleasant surprise for the day...shopped around for something nice to wear to the cocktail party at MR, and picked out two skirts I particularly liked at the first store I went in. I got a size I haven't bought in awhile, only because after having to live on fast food and restaurant fare while we were in California, some of my other stuff was a bit snug, and I'd figured I'd play it safe. Took them into the dressing room, and both of them fell off my hips. So big yay there. Being surprised by clothes being too big is always a good thing.

Hope to get some writing done tonight. That would be a great way to end this day. :)
