  • Mood:

OK, now I've seen it all...

OK, I'll admit, I've been in a kind of bad mood most of the morning. Bad start, too many hormones, arguing with Craig, overall=not good. So, I've been keeping myself busy with doing a final clearout of our things, as Craig has decided we only need a 20ft container to ship our stuff, instead of the 40ft container every single one of the moving companies were convinced we were going to need. The kids have been happily playing in the living room and playroom for most of the morning, with me taking breaks every once in a while to go and sit with them, or read a story or such.

So, I'm in the kitchen starting to get lunch ready for the kids, when I hear these hysterical giggles coming from my son. No big, he's easily amused. When they don't stop, I decide to take a break and poke my head in to see what's so funny.

Alex is sitting in the middle of the floor in *only* his t-shirt. He has this genetic predisposition to not like wearing pants (stop laughing, angstchic!) and has shed them just a few feet away. His legs are spread apart and in his hand is this plastic bolt from his Bob the Builder's tool table. It's bright red and about 2" across with a hole in the middle of about an 1".

And he is proceeding to slide it on and off his erection, giggling like a madman each and every single time he does it.

I just stood there for a second, letting it sink in, until he looked up and gave me this huge shit-eating grin. At that point, I picked him up, got him dressed again, and took the bolt away, all the while trying to hold back my own laughter.

OK, so I've known for awhile that this was his new favorite plaything---only natural since he's both 2 *and* male---but this new, inventive way to play with it just strikes me as all kind of funny. Which probably makes me weird as hell, but hey, considering the day I've had, laughter and funnies in any form are extremely appreciated.

And aren't you glad I shared this? :D My kids are *so* going to hate me when they get old enough to realize how much crazy stuff I tell people about them... ;)
