Alicia's birthday

Day two of DunDraCon was longer than the first, but just as fun. I learned two new games today, and got to hang with friends.

But the best part of today? Was my gift to Alicia for her birthday. See, I sent her BFF from high school (who is going to Berkeley) out to DC to surprise her for the weekend. BFF couldn't go until this weekend, which meant it was a week late, but that only added to the surprise. Her roommate took video of Alicia seeing BFF for the first time. Alicia cried and pretty much clung to BFF for four solid minutes. It made me cry, too. They shared pictures and videos of their day together, and tonight, they went to the Kennedy Center to see the National Symphonic Orchestra perform "Romeo and Juliet." BFF has to fly home tomorrow, but I think it'll be worth it. Alicia needed this. I'm just glad I could give it to her.
