When I get nervous, I babble. And talk too fast. And get loud. None of which are good for auditioning because my brain is going faster than my mouth and I forget stuff. I had to start one piece over completely because I'd messed it up so bad. I did get asked to read a different piece, but it was literally the only play I *really* don't want to do. But I got it out of the way and hopefully I won't be as nervous next time.
On the plus side, there were two different older men who came in who would both be wonderful in my play. I'm so excited about both of them. I called back two others as well, one who was meh but might have great chemistry with the women and one the artistic director said would be great. Callbacks are on Sunday, and I just have to figure out which pair is the most believable. It's going to be so much fun. :)
