Blue Sunday

Alicia is now back in DC. We got up at 3:30 this morning because she kept putting off packing and got too tired last night to finish. We had to be out of the house by 4:30am since her flight was scheduled for 7:40am and we're about an hour away from the airport at that time. With the shutdown still in effect, we had no idea what would happen with security when she got there. She was very lucky because it was absolutely dead and she got through the whole thing in less than ten minutes.

We were worried about her flight because of the storm warning in DC, but she landed safely and on time. And apparently, according to one of her texts on her ride back to her dorm, she only cried a little at the airport. That does not help me to deal with her departure.

Craig and I crashed when we got home, then took it easy the rest of the day. We've been struggling with constant headaches the past couple days--we're pretty sure it's from the weather--so I lacked any motivation to do much. Plus, I was blue about Alicia. So reading, TV, and Playstation. A lazy Sunday. The only active thing I did was make supper and tidy the kitchen.
