Craig was a doll and took couch duty with Alex last night, so I managed to get a good 6 hours of sleep. I'm running on adrenaline today, but I think everything will be OK in the long run. Leave at lunchtime to take the kids to inlaws, and then back to Craig's office at 4 for 2 of his phone calls, before we finally get home tonight around 6:30 to do our own packing. The car arrives tomorrow morning at 5am to take us to the airport, and with the layover in NYC and such, I should be arriving in San Francisco at 7:30pm their time Saturday evening (which means 3:30am UK time, what a lovely day tomorrow is going to be). I should be able to sleep on the plane some, though. I know people have been worried about me, and thank you for that, but I should be OK once I get the kids sorted today. At least, that's the plan. :)
We're booked to be social on Sunday, so I imagine I won't be able to update any fics until Monday. I'll probably get online Saturday night to catch up with e-mail and such (and I have more nominees to get onto LLGA). One of my plot bunnies has been particularly ferocious, and though I'm not nearly together enough to be doing any proper writing on Legions or Frost, I've been working on plotting/outlining the new fic in order to keep my brain sharp. And to get the bunny under control. I haven't been this rabid about an idea since before starting Frost. But don't worry, all the planning is just to get enough out of my system so that I can concentrate more fully on my other two WIP's. Legions and Frost aren't going anywhere, in fact there'll be at least 2 Legions chapters and at least 1 Frost chapter posted next week (and more if I can get it done).
Oh, and did I mention that the mortgage surveyor is due here in 45 minutes? Isn't my life today just hunky dory? Thank god for scented candles...
OK, enough stalling and relaxation for me. Time to go clean out the refrigerator of all the stuff that's going to the inlaws because it'll just go off in the next week. What fun.
