Feeling better, take two

So that post from a week ago where I thought I might be on the other side of being sick? Yeah, that was more like I only just reached the summit. I've had a rough few more days, with tons of sleeping and coughing and pushing myself too early which only meant it took longer to feel halfway normal again. I'm still coughing, though not nearly as much, but I have my voice back which is a huge relief. And I actually managed to get through last night with only waking up twice from coughing that Nyquil couldn't vanquish.

I almost feel human again. Yay for me. :)

On the news front, we got approved as a host family for the international student program. She's coming from Germany, and she's Alicia's age which works out well. She seems to be a really good fit, so hopefully we'll be able to Skype with her and her family in the next few days. She called the house this morning, but I was out and nobody answered the phone since the number was unknown. I want this to be a positive experience for her so badly. She arrives toward the end of July, and will be here for the full school year, so ten months in total. Fingers crossed she's as good of a fit with us as we think she will be.

So because I'm so far behind, I'm going to start commenting again on LJ first thing in the morning. It's my only hope of maintaining some sanity in light of the huge influx of new people on my flist. :)
