I survived

I survived the recital. It didn't suck, though clearly, we were the listening easy portion of the night, lol. There was a ton of Beatles, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix. We did Norah Jones and Ingrid Michaelson. You get the picture.

Alicia and I have fallen in love with Geek Chic Cosmetics. Someone had given me some samples for Christmas, and Alicia took two of them because the colors didn't suit me. They're so pretty, all vegan, and cruelty free. I indulged in an order though it won't get here before Alicia's birthday unfortunately. But Alicia's discovery of make-up in the past year--and the fact that she's gotten quite good at it--has made me more adventurous. It's probably a side effect of increasing confidence from losing the weight, too. Someone at the recital who I hadn't seen in six months commented on it the second she saw me, without realizing I've been actively working on it.

Speaking of, it was a two-pound loss for me this week, bringing the total to 23 pounds since October 9. Not too shabby. :)

Now with the recital out of the way, I can focus on the party tomorrow and then get back to writing. What a relief. :)
