Busy Monday

I have decided that I have too many userpics I never use. So starting today, I am going to change my default icon on the first of every month to a random one that hasn't seen use in the past 30 days (and isn't one I use specifically for certain things, like my hug or popped icons). Hence, a new Arthur pic as my default, so very pretty though it would've been nice to get a random one that wasn't him for a change, lol.

Sign-ups have opened for camelotremix, so I've gone ahead and put myself on the list for that. Sign-ups are open over at aftercamlann, too, but I haven't convinced myself to do that yet. I should get some actual writing under my belt again before I bite off more than I can chew, right?

I had a busy morning running errands. Alicia's BFF asked months ago about throwing a surprise birthday party for her 16th, and that's happening this Saturday. It's going to be about 30 people, with a handful of the girls spending the night. This morning, I went out and ordered her cake (chocolate with strawberry filling and real cream frosting), an edible arrangement, and trays of sandwiches from her favorite deli. I'm kind of excited about it, actually. I think she's going to love the surprise. She's out all day for her AcaDeca quiz, so her boyfriend is coming over in the afternoon to help me get everything set up and decorated. He's an absolute doll. He's even inspiring my gamer son. Alex would live on his computer given the choice, but the boyfriend is an all-star cross country runner, and Alex is actually considering joining track next year. He's actually managed to get his mile run down to just over 7 minutes, too, which considering he was doing 9-10 at the start of the year, is pretty darn good.
