At least it's Friday

We got good news today about our cat, Bruiser. He's the one who had the radiation treatment in December for his thyroid. I took him in on Wednesday to get bloodwork done and got the results today. His thyroid is back to normal so it's looking like the treatment worked. His white blood cell count is still below what they like to see, but it's improving, so the vet is taking that as a good sign that he's slowly healing. There's another follow-up in two months, so fingers crossed things keep improving.

In other news, I went and saw Creed yesterday since it was its last day and I wanted to see it before the Oscar ceremony. I liked it, and if Stallone wins, I'm actually okay with that. Who'd've thunk it? I missed seeing The Big Short, but that came out more recently so hopefully another theater will still have that one around.

I bought one of Craig's birthday gifts today after confirming with him that he was going to be here. I got us tickets to see "Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus" in San Francisco in April, which is a comedy that was written about the books. Those books are actually part of how we got together in the first place and played a significant role in the first six months of our relationship, so we're both looking forward to the play. It should be fun. :)
