So tired

I need more hours in my day. I seem to only get the barest amount of things done off my To Do list, and yet, I'm working constantly all day. Oi.

Craig leaves Sunday for Seattle for work. He'll be gone for four days, which I'm not looking forward to. He has to figure out how to incorporate our new eating patterns while he travels. I'm glad I'm not him.

Speaking of our new eating patterns...they're not going badly. Craig's actually doing quite well. He's lost 10 pounds already and is really enjoying it. Me, I've lost 4 and I'm not enjoying it as much. I won't stop. I know we need to do this. But meals are a bit boring--filling, yes, but boring--and I don't look forward to them nearly as much as I used to. For someone who loves food and loves to cook, it's a tad disheartening.

I've lost my taste for sweet, though. Friday nights are free-for-all because we go grocery shopping. Alex always gets these honey barbecue boneless wings from our grocery's deli, which are delicious. I asked to snitch one, then couldn't even finish it because I gagged on how sweet it was. My meal was much better--grilled portobello mushroom stuffed with artichoke and pesto, with steamed green beans and half a baked potato. That's my new Friday treat for a while.
