Then the office told me it usually takes 3-5 business days for the doctor to get around to it and there's no way to expedite the process. Tryouts starts on Monday. You do the math.
We're going to keep our fingers crossed. Only six freshmen showed up for what is supposed to be a mandatory meeting, so Alicia doesn't know if that means the ones she expects to show won't get to tryout or what. And if they don't, will the coach give her leeway because we just have to get the form back. He said he'd consider it on a case by case basis, and we have the proof we dropped it off today, but still, annoying. Those who don't have the paperwork on Monday can still show up for tryouts on Tuesday (it's an all week thing), but we still don't have a guarantee we'll have the form back by then.
I hate incompetency. We wouldn't have this potential problem if the coach had made the meeting for last week and given us time to prepare.
And I've gotten nothing else done all day. Most of my afternoon was shot getting Alicia all sorted out and fixing dinner. She has gone now to her night class, so I could feasibly write now, but I seriously lose all my motivation in the evenings. Too many distractions. I'll go to the gym in a few hours when Craig gets home, but in the meantime, I just want to play around and relax.
