Summer dreams

Craig walked out of his office today, looked at me and said, "So what do you think about Ireland?"

He does this. A lot.

Turns out, his company is seriously considering opening a satellite office in Dublin, which always gets Craig's brain to working. He tends to think really big, then come back until he reaches the point where it's both doable and what we want. So of course, he starts with moving there. Not right away, but when Alicia is ready for college, so she could go to school there, Alex would be at the age to move into post-primary, and his dad might be ready to sell the house and come live with us. I can't say that I really see that happening, though it's a lovely idea. Who even knows if he'll be with the company in three years?

BUT, what I can see happening if the office is opened is a jaunt over to Dublin this summer. Craig could easily wrangle visiting the new office, and if both Alicia and Alex attend the same three-week summer program this year, I'd have three weeks in July (right around my birthday) free to do whatever I want. Like go with Craig.

In the five years I lived in the UK, I never got to get to Ireland. It's one of my regrets. I'm really, really hoping all the cards fall into place for me to go this summer.
