Bits for the first day of the new year

We had a very quiet New Year's here. Craig had work he had to do, which basically meant we were all left to our own devices. Alicia and I are doing a Raising Hope marathon, Alex played video games, and at 11:30, Craig emerged from his office so we could Skype his dad in the UK, sit on the couch, and watch the ball drop in Times Square on ABC. No alcohol was opened, mostly because I woke up Tuesday with a migraine that had me vomiting which means broken blood vessels in my eyes and all over my face. (Needless to say, I'm not going out in public until tomorrow so that it has a chance to fade a teeny bit. Even Alex is a little freaked out by the red in my eye, but that's because it's been years since I've had such a vicious turn.)

And that was probably TMI, sorry about that, lol.

Tomorrow I start getting back to my routine. I haven't written in over a week, and I'm chomping at the bit. Craig's still buried in work, Alicia wants to be a slug for another day, and I need to go to the grocery store which means I sent Craig out to find something open to bring home dinner. I should have some Vietnamese here very soon, because both the fish & chip shop and our favorite Mexican were closed.

And also, I'm enjoying Raising Hope a lot more than I thought I would. The little girl is absolute adorable, and Cloris Leachman cracks me up.

  • I need more time and less argumentative acquaintances

I have to keep reminding myself to breathe. In. Out. Don't get bogged down by the weight of it all. Just in. And out. I have SO much to do. Two…
