As much as I need to write this last novella, I'm only going to work on it today and tomorrow morning because spikesgurl arrives tomorrow and I'm taking the weekend off to spend time with her. I haven't seen her since we went to Florida last October, so I plan on making the most of it. Alicia is annoyed she has a softball tournament and won't see her for a good part of the weekend. My kids love spikesgurl to pieces, which I think goes to show just what good people she is.

But that means I get some relaxed time this weekend! We're going out to dinner tomorrow night, and Alicia wants to go to the movies since it's her last Friday available until November. Since Guardians of the Galaxy is still playing after all (I thought it had left), I'm hoping to drag everyone there. Saturday is girlie day. Shopping, pedicures, lunch, and then the extra eggplant lasagna I made earlier this week so I don't have to worry about cooking when I get home, lol.

But...that's this weekend. Today is work. I'm going through the short story I finished for kallysten's charity anthology so I can get that to her this morning and then starting the last novella that's an ultra priority. It will be kind of a relief to bury myself in that escapism. The real world, with ISIS and the idiot federal judge handling the Louisiana gay marriage appeal among other things, has been an awful place the past couple days.
