Fic processes

Yesterday, I posted my ficlet for this week's camelot_drabble over at AO3. I tried something new with this one. I'm using unclaimed prompts on rare pairings at KMM to help inspire me. Everybody wins, then, right? The person who originally prompted gets *something*, which in this fandom where the vast majority are A/M shippers doesn't happen nearly enough. For instance, Yesterday's came from a prompt in KMM #1, originally posted in March '09. Not sure where the next one will come from. I'm currently up to #7, going through and logging all the rare pair prompts in a spreadsheet. Because I'm anal like that, lol.

And I'll be honest, I rather love getting multiple random prompts and fusing them together into something that isn't crack. I wrote an original novella that just might be one of my favorites ever that stemmed from three separate word prompts - cage, music, eclipse. It's probably weird, but it works for me. My linear brain loves sorting the chaotic into an order. This process is ideal.
