Craig and I went to see 22 Jump Street last night. I'll admit, the first movie is one of my guilty pleasures. It cracks me up every time. So I was eager to see the second one, though we knew that it wouldn't be kid appropriate, which meant waiting. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea - the meta is obvious, the jokes broad and sometimes overplayed - but we had a blast. There were more than a few hysterical moments, and the closing credits were some of the most fun I've had in a long time. If you like those kind of movies, I definitely recommend it.
My left fingertips are killing me today. With Alicia gone, I'm getting double guitar lessons, and yesterday, rather than work on fingerpicking, my teacher decided we'd just learn a new song. Problem is he picked George Harrison's "Something" which is HARD. Tons of chords I'm not comfortable with. Typing is going to be fun today. Not.
I call tonight to find out about jury duty tomorrow. Who knows what will happen. I'd hoped to take my computer and work while I waited, but laptops aren't allowed inside. So it'll be books for me.
