I don't mean to rant, but...

I'm not going to talk about the Hobby Lobby result because I'm still too mad. I've been posting and arguing with people on my Facebook page for 24 hours and I'm tired of banging my head against the wall. The refusal to see the big picture or accept Hobby Lobby's hypocrisy because they're so glad to see their religious freedoms expanded even more is frustrating to say the least. If this had been a non-Christian religion or a non-women's health issue, it never would've won. And to claim this is a narrow ruling is naive and narrow-minded. The US is a litigious nation. This WILL get exploited. A door has been thrown open.

And those Christians who don't agree with the result will only suffer in the long run. Too many good people already get painted with the same awful brush as the worst of those who make the headlines. This ruling will create an even larger schism between the secular and non-secular portions of our society. That just makes me sad.

All right, so I talked about it a little bit. Sorry about ranting.

As a fandom aside, sign-ups have opened for summerpornathon, but I'm not sure I'm going to do it this last time. Most of my team has moved on and won't be participating, and I really have a lot of other things I should be doing instead.
