Kid stuff

Today's a kid day. Which means no work for me.

I'm taking Alex to the movies today with his friend N, who really wants to see How To Train Your Dragon 2. Which means I'm sitting through it for the second time this week. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but it would've been nice to see something new.

We're catching an early show so they can do something together this afternoon, too. What it's going to be, I don't know for sure yet. I know they'd rather play video games, but it's our turn to host and N has a cat allergy, which puts our house off limits. We don't have a ton of local options for two 12 y/o boys, so it might be a late lunch at Chuck E. Cheese (because ours is mostly video games anyway) or bowling.

Then tonight, the three-hour drive to pick up Alicia from camping. That's 3 hours each way, by the way. She has a dentist appointment at 9 tomorrow morning, and if I tried rescheduling it, it meant her not getting in until August. If it was just to check on her braces, I might've let it slide, but this is one of those hour-long adjustment appointments in final prep of the braces coming off this fall. Neither one of us wanted her to wait six weeks.

Isn't my life exciting, lol?
