Veronica Mars

I never watched Veronica Mars. I remember when it came on, how so many of the Buffy people went off to it, and I...dug my heels in. It's always been that way for me. When something gets popular and it's not something I've already experienced, I often deliberately turn my back on it or ignore it. If you want to psychobabble me as to why, I know it's from being so shunned as a kid for being so different, i.e. unpopular. It's a knee-jerk reaction for me.

Anyway, I never watched it. When the Kickstarter happened, it was just a cultural blip in the corner of my eye. I was glad for what it meant but had zero interest in seeing the movie. So it came and went.

One of the movies we got from Redbox last night had a trailer for VM on it. Normally, we skip past them all, but for some reason, that didn't happen, so I actually watched the trailer all the way through. And...I'm curious. I'll admit it.

So my question is this. Is the movie any good? Can I watch it without having watched the TV show? Because I still have zero desire to see the show and frankly, have a lot of other shows I need to watch before I'd get to it anyway.
