The bits and pieces of my life

I'm living in another bubble at the moment as I try to stay focused on all the things that are going on in my life. Sometimes, I really like my bubble. Others, I'm so flipping jealous of those who have so much time to sit and watch an entire season of a show in a day, and then be able to be online with other fans to gush over it.

Alicia woke up this morning sick. She's managed to pick up the cold Alex is just now getting over, which sucks because the chorus concert is tonight and she has a solo. She's going to be nursing her voice all day.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to wrap up a short story I agreed to write as a fill-in for an author that bailed at the last minute. It's writing quickly, thank god, as well as sparked an idea for a series, but I really should learn how to say no to some people during this time of year. I still have to do my yuletide (because I suck and am terrified of what to do) so that's on my agenda for next week.

Oh, and I learned that it's not a good idea to try doing backbends at my age. Alicia practically dared me, so I did it, and while I'm completely chuffed I was able to do it without a problem, there are two muscles in my back that haven't forgiven me yet.
