A week of prep

I didn't watch the Emmys last night. Instead I had a movie day - The Quiet American, Up in the Air, Black Hawk Down, and Moneyball. It has been a very long time since I indulged in movies all for my own entertainment. Of course, that meant I got absolutely nothing else done most of the day except to realize that my WIP really, really wasn't working, and I needed to shift to something else.

This week will mostly be about preparation. We leave for Florida on Friday and will be gone for just over two weeks. The house we rented has wi-fi - that was my very first requirement in my search, lol - so I'll still be online, but obviously as we're on family vacation, I won't be doing very much. The nice part about being gone for so long, though, is that we won't have to do a park every day. The house has a pool and a game room, so I fully anticipate spending lots of time in it. That should help keep the food in check, too, so my weight doesn't go through the roof in the time we're gone.

We'll be doing the parks, of course, but I also plan on dragging the kids to Medieval Times once (because it's cheesy fun), doing one of the airboat tours through the Everglades, and the Kennedy Space Center. This is why we need two weeks for our vacation, lol.
