Like how much more I prefer Russ Tamblyn's singing rather than Tucker Smith who dubbed him. Which is funny because I love Smith so much as Ice.
Like how little Richard Beymer and Natalie Wood liked each other, and yet I buy that love story every single time.
Like how much I wish George Chakiris would talk about it, because he mesmerizes me. He's my favorite dancer in the whole movie.
The movie is in my top 10 of all time, that's for sure. When they did the color restoration/re-release for its 30 year anniversary, I got to see it at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor. The Michigan is a restored movie palace, one of the reasons I love them as much as I do. Though I'd seen West Side Story on video, seeing it on the big screen was overwhelming. I was sobbing at the end, a real wreck. It's very easy to understand how it could have such an impact when it was released.
