Five minutes to breathe

I am currently on my very brief lunch break. It has been a crazy two days with all the prep for the bake sale tonight. I've got 2 dozen red velvet cupcakes, 2 dozen dark chocolate oreo cupcakes, a ton of caramel apple popcorn bags, and two trays of white chocolate covered cookies & cream rice krispie treats. It might not have been so bad except I lost several hours this morning with my weigh-in (three pounds down for the week, woo hoo!) and buying a plain black t-shirt for Alex (why is it so hard to find a black t-shirt with nothing on it for boys?!?). Right now, my ghosts are in the freezer setting so I can put them on the oreo cupcakes, then I have to wrap everything up and head to the school in a little over an hour. My kitchen is a disaster. I have no idea when I'm going to be able to save it.

Did anybody watch Top Chef Masters this week? Am I the only one who's a little bit in love with Carlos Lauchu, one of the teachers they honored? Holy crap. I might have taken more science if I had a teacher who looked like that.
