The Fall

I tried watching The Fall earlier this week, mostly convinced it was going to be something I really liked. I mean, Gillian Anderson, the delectable Jamie Dornan, and John Lynch? How could it fail?

I was bored to tears.

I know it's one of those shows that's supposed to be a slow build, but after two episodes, knowing there were only five, I just couldn't do it anymore. Anderson's ice queen persona never clicked for me, and Dornan wasn't nearly as compelling as he needed to be for me to engage with. Lynch, unfortunately, had such a small part that it was hardly worth getting excited about him. If the strongest feeling it can create is "meh," there is no way I'm going to waste time finishing it.
