They might be giants

Yesterday's registration ended up being two hours long. When we arrived just after 10, when it opened at 10:30, the line was already the length of a football field and started to curving back on itself. :P The problem is, going later doesn't mean the line is shorter. When we left just before noon, there were still a ton of people waiting. Yuck.

But it's over, and Alicia discovered she has the exact same schedule as her BFF. It's the first time since they've started at middle school, so we'll see how that goes. They just might end up killing each other by the end of the school year, lol.

I'm a little worried about Alex, though. The kids he hung out with at his elementary school all went to the other middle school, so he's got to meet new people, which he isn't great at. Fingers crossed it all goes well.

Today is Alicia's orthodontist appointment and some school shopping. I made Alex try on all his jeans after he got back from camp. Only two pairs still fit him properly. Oops. My kids are turning into giants. Alicia is almost 5'6", so nearly four inches taller than me, and Alex is 5'0" with hands bigger than mine. We figure Alicia will end up around 5'8" or 5'9", and there's no telling where Alex will end up. I have uncles who are 6'4" and 6'5" and the women on my mom's side can get up to 6'0". Craig's side and my dad's side aren't tall, but clearly the kids haven't taken after them, lol.
