I forgot to post last night to say how my one-week follow-up went. Oops.

Well, it went great, actually. Got my old bandages off and took a picture of my Frankenstein foot before he wrapped it back up again. In spite of the ugly stitches, the discoloration from the ink and stuff, and my toes still being swollen, it looks pretty amazing. I can't remember the last time my big toe was straight, let alone had a gap between it and my second toe, lol. And the bunion is gone, gone, gone, which is fantastic news. He was really pleased with the healing so far.

My stitches come out a week from Monday, but obviously, there's still a lot of healing to be done after that. I'm moving around a little bit more and on minimal ibuprofen for pain. Most of the time, it's fine, but then I'll forget that I only had surgery a week ago, do something dumb, and it'll hurt again. Oops. I also can't bend my big toe yet, but I'm not supposed to anyway. I'm getting paranoid about moving it at all, for fear of something not healing right. I hope that's not too weird.

And I won't gross anybody out by posting a picture. ;)
