This is one of those recipes that probably seems uber obvious to everybody but me, lol. But I tried it in early January when it appeared on my Food Network calendar, and it's become my go-to marinade for pork chops ever since, as much because I always have these ingredients on hand as it is how good it is. I've modified it slightly for my family (using only half the pepper noted in the recipe), since we're mostly wimps when it comes to pepper.
DIRECTIONS 1. Combine soy sauce, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper in large resealable plastic bag, seal, and shake. 2. Add pork chops and rub them, through bag, to work spices into the meat. 3. Marinate up to 8 hours.
These can be pan-fried, baked, or grilled, however you would normally cook pork chops. So moist and flavorful, regardless of how you do it.
