In other news, Alicia has her first boyfriend. It's the cutest thing. She's always had a ton of male friends, and though there have been those who've had crushes on her, she's never reciprocated. Until now. Apparently, there's this boy, N, who is in most of her classes who has been asking her via texts for a few days to "go out" with him. Which, in the sixth grade, means nothing really changes except now he has permission to sit next to her when he wants, lol. She didn't know what to do. All of both her and his friends kept urging her to say yes, and she came to me with, "Fix this, Mommy." Considering I was convinced she wouldn't open up to me about this kind of thing, I was kind of over the moon. So we talked about it, and ultimately she decided to say yes.
I talked to her best friend first to find out the scoop on N, of course, lol. They both claim N is a good guy, not the troublemaker sort, though I don't see Alicia falling for that type at all anyway. She worships Craig too much so she sees/appreciates the nice boy rather than the bad boy. Whether it lasts more than a couple days...who knows? She's happy for now.
Craig is off to Ohio next week again, so I'll have another week of poor sleeping. My clenching is still happening. I'm going to the store tomorrow after my appointment and getting a bite guard (thanks,
On the plus side,
Finally, if you haven't already, please head over to my Christmas card post. I *really* want to send cards to some of the new people on my flist, but I need your addy to do it. Don't worry about living out of the US. This is an international family, and spreading good cheer isn't limited by borders.
