Alicia finished out her softball season on a strong note. They were down two runs when they came up to bat in the last inning, and managed to get three with the first four batters to win the game. A great turnaround for them. I'm proud of all she's done with this team, though it's been an uphill battle. She'd been primarily a third-baseman for all the county softball she's played, but because she's a leftie, the coach wanted her on first. So she's spent most of her fielding on first, with filling in as a rover in the outfield when he needs to give her a break. She's not sure what to make of it, to be honest, but I'm proud of her and everything she's done.
Alicia, on the other hand, is glad softball is over because now she can get back into chorus next week, lol. At least that's only once a week for now!
In spite of some interruptions, I got to watch most of X Factor from last night. No spoilers, but just want to say how refreshing it was to have Simon back on TV. I hadn't realized how much I'd missed him until he started talking.
I tried on my Halloween costume today in case I needed time to get a new one. Last year, it fit, but I had to wear a one-piece body under it to smooth it out/suck me in. This year, it hangs on me without it, but the fabric is slinky enough to be flattering rather than a tent. I actually feel pretty darn cute/hot in it, enough that I wish we were going to a costume party so I could show it off. Trust me. For me, that's a pretty big deal, lol.
On the whole cute thing, a random non-creepy guy totally flirted with me today at Alicia's game. In light of how crappy my day had been before that, it was a nice pick-me-up. :)
