Though I knew it was coming, it actually happened today. When I was unlocking my car at Safeway this afternoon, I pulled my hand back and my wedding ring went flying off my finger.

Luckily, it didn't roll under a car or into a grate.

Starting tomorrow, I'll wear it on a chain around my neck like I did when I was pregnant and had sausages for fingers. I'm not going to get it resized, though. It's not a plain band, but instead gold etched/carved with a design that's too big to cut a portion out without mucking it up. Craig and I have agreed that when I get to goal, I can get a new ring. I already know I want an eternity ring. We've talked about it for a long time as an anniversary gift at some point. Since I should be hitting goal next spring if I stay on track, and our anniversary is in May, that seems like fortuitous timing.

But woo hoo! I've officially lost enough weight now to make this a necessity. :)
