So last night I sat down to watch American Idol. A late start because we have piano Wednesday evenings, and I don't even get back to the house until 8, so often it means I don't get to start watching until 8:30 or 8:45. 8:40 in the case of last night. Guess what I discover?

Yet again, my stupid DVR decides other things are important and isn't recording it.

Okay, it's not the DVR's fault that I added that Christian Slater show to record, and that it automatically bumps it to the top of the priority list, and that the priorities never got fixed when I had to reload the DVR when we bought a new one. But still. Must it mess with my busiest night?!? As it was, I had to cancel other stuff to make room for recording the last half of AI. From the sounds of it, I don't think I missed too much in the first half.

So I didn't see any of the inspirational songs. I came on when they had the four lined up onstage and the judges were asked who won the round. From the sound of it, Haley didn't do too well. However, in the second round, she was my favorite. FAVORITE. James was a close second, but honestly, I thought she nailed her second number. Scotty left me uber-cold and Lauren was just kind of meh. Seeing Gaga mentor was fun, though. She is just so savvy.
