It never matters how covered I am or how much sunscreen I slather on, I always get burned. My face is currently on fire, in spite of the aforementioned precautions I took, and I just want to plunge my head into an ice bucket for a week.

It makes writing hard. Well, that, and it was a very long day which included the kids' ball games (hence the time in the sun, glorious afternoon notwithstanding) and car shopping this morning. We finally test drove the Explorer and the Flex back to back...and as much as I hate to say it, we're probably going to get the Flex. Exterior-wise, the Explorer wins, but when it comes to the interior and driveability? Flex, hands down. I cannot believe what a nice ride it is, how intelligently it's laid out, the extras, the room. I didn't want to. Trust me. I think it's awful looking on the outside. However, I'm compromising on my superficiality - and God, how many times did I have to listen to my kids today tell me to stop judging something by what it looks like on the outside?!? - and probably going for it. At least I can get the colors I want (bordeaux with the lighter leather interior).
