Today was another catch-up day, though it was tough when I'm struggling to reach this deadline tomorrow with this short story. I only have one more chapter to write, but I lost my momentum around four this afternoon and haven't been able to find it since.

Of course, it didn't help that I lost 5 hours yesterday with the Oscars and the pre-show. James Franco was as pathetic as I thought he'd be, and Anne Hathaway was too perky. Her wardrobe was spectacular, though. No real surprises (though I did honestly think Fincher would get director since the Academy has a tendency to be more adventurous in that category), but there were some crazyass speeches. One of my favorite moments was Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law presenting. They were so pretty up there, and so funny. They should have been the hosts instead.

My family is still not quite on California time. Alex crashed tonight at 7:30 no matter how hard I tried to keep him awake. That was after he'd woken up this morning at 3:30, though at least then he managed to go back to sleep for another hour or so. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.
