Gah. I meant to be more consistent in posting in the New Year, and I've already slipped. Though honestly, I haven't had anything to say since Sunday night. Life is pretty boring, post-holidays.

Well, except our holidays aren't quite over yet. See, very good friends of ours - the family who comes to our house to celebrate Thanksgiving - called us just before the New Year. Turns out that their landlord decided on the 22nd to finally do something about all the kitchen problems they'd been having the past six months. Which left them completely unable to do anything about a Christmas dinner. They didn't call us, because they knew Craig's parents were visiting, but when we heard, we told them they deserved a Christmas dinner.

So guess who's coming here on Sunday for another huge meal, lol? The turkey's been in the fridge all week thawing out, and I'll hit the store on Saturday morning for all the bits that go with it. It won't be quite as extravagant as what it could be, but still, it's a big turkey dinner for twelve people. It's effort, no matter how I look at it.

Tomorrow, I take the MIL to the spa for her Christmas gift. We gave her the list of offerings and told her to pick out what she wanted, so she's getting a massage, facial and a pedicure. I'm getting a massage, facial, and manicure at the same time, and since the package comes with a meal, we're leaving the guys here to fend feeding themselves and the kids. Not a bad deal, if you ask me, lol. I've never actually had a professional massage, so I'm looking forward to it.

Now, back to work...
