Slowly but surely, the world goes back to normal. Emphasis on the slowly.

I'm doing better, but Alicia spent the past couple days with a fever and has now progressed to the barking cough phase. Thankfully, that seems to be the last one, so she should be good in time for school next week. The MIL was forced to spend the day in bed today because of her persistent fever, but she is adamant about getting up tomorrow as spending all that time in bed drives her mad, lol.

With the illness, however, comes a silver lining. My determination to lose the weight has got off to a whomping start. I am currently down 10 pounds in the last 3 weeks, even with Christmas dinner and all the damn sugar around the house. I got out for a couple hours to check some local sales, and ended up buying myself three new pairs of jeans, because two pairs I had were falling down. Of those three pairs, two are a size smaller and one is two sizes smaller. Progress!

Craig went out today and spent some Christmas money. He came home with Rock Band 3, which we proceeded to play for two hours. I've forgotten how much I love RB in all of its incarnations. Must play more often, though I'll probably have to pry the keyboard away from Alicia to play it. :P
