And life goes on...

I had an eye appointment this morning. Though it's been less than a year since I got my reading glasses, I scheduled it last week. I was mostly certain that my right eye has deteriorated, and that was contributing to my ongoing headaches from the past several months. It's hard to tell. I've had ear infections, sinus infections, colds, as well as what I'm pretty sure are perimenopausal symptoms, so the headaches could have stemmed from anywhere. However, I was noticing some additional wonkiness in my right eye, and I figured at least a vision test would rule out if that was part of the contributing factors, so off I went.

And I was right. My left eye is still fine, but my right has worsened by half a diopter. At least it's an answer.

I've decided that this year, I'll be the one to walk around with the kids for trick-and-treating instead of being the treat giver. So I got a costume, only the second I've ever had as an adult. I just don't do Halloween, I'll admit. But the costume I got is absolutely adorable, super super soft, and fits like a dream. I got the white petticoat to wear underneath it so it's poofier than in the picture, but still, so so cute.

Work progresses on the yard. Tomorrow, they'll start laying the concrete, I think. Today was all about the iron piping stuff that goes down first, and the rest of the gravel. Boring pictures. Not worth uploading.
