Show up at the office, and there are two massive lines already. Guess what? Computers are down for anything license related. One of the lines is people waiting in hopes they'll come back up. Craig and I decide to head to the DMV in the next town over, since it's only 10 minutes away. Show up, no lines, only have to wait 15 minutes until I see someone, and then I'm zipping through the whole process like they have nothing better than to help me. Everyone was really nice, too, which makes a pleasant change. In spite of all my anxiety about the stupid test, I only missed one question and a hour later, we're walking out the door, everything approved and all done.
We decided to head out for our Friday sushi lunch date even though we went yesterday because we figured we wouldn't have time today. They know our orders there, and we usually have green tea brought to us before we're barely settled. And today, we got into a conversation with the guy who always serves us, and he jokes that we should get a discount since we're in every Friday. Except it wasn't a joke. He really did give us the discount. We ended up giving him a bigger tip in thanks, so didn't actually save much but maybe he'll make it a regular thing now, lol.
Alicia's got a friend over the night, and Alex is playing xBox, and I just want to crash. Today is Pepper's birthday, too, so she's doing the right thing and having fun, so I don't even have work to glue me to the computer. If I didn't know the girls will be up for another 3 hours at least, I definitely would go to bed early. ;)
