No more wasteland

So work starts on our backyard tomorrow. Finally. Finally. The estimate we got back from the guy - whose work we know because he's done all the neighbors - was 12k less than what we expected. Craig called him back convinced it was a mistake, that he'd left stuff off, and he was all, "No, that's included."

So...yeah. We're a tad happy about that. That's not including the plants, or the two trees we want, but hell, that is still going to come in so far under what we had budgeted that we're thrilled to pieces. Even better is the fact that he thinks it'll only take a week or so to do it all. At this price, we don't care if he ends up running long, though, lol.

That means that this weekend is all about going to the nursery and picking out plants. We might end up having to order the trees. We don't know yet. We've planned for an orange and a persimmon tree, and it would be nice to get ones that are a little more mature so we're not waiting years and years to reap the benefit. It's costlier, but worth it in the end.
