Having fun is tiring

Man, it has been an exhausting 36 hours! Fun, though. We had a blast hanging out with our friends, and it looks like we might have convinced them to seriously look into moving out here. Like in the same development kind of move. The girls would love that. Even being separated the past five months, their friendship is still as strong. It was very hard for them to let each other go today. One of the only things that helped was convincing them it wouldn't be another 5 months before they saw each other again.

An impromptu trip out today to get Alex new shoes (since I'd forgotten he had a hole in his tennis shoes and needed a new pair) saw us at B&N. Sometimes, I think it's the most evil store on the planet. It is impossible for me to walk in and not by something. Today, it was 4 new titles, some historical romance (Promise Me Tonight by Sara Lindsey, A Midwife Crisis by Lisa Cooke, and Scoundrel's Kiss by Carrie Lofty), and a steampunk romance (Steamed by Katie MacAlister). They'll likely sit on my TBR pile for too long, but I'll get to them eventually. I have to finish Beyond the Hedge by Roby James before I can get to a new book.

And tonight, it's writing. Pepper and I have finally gotten into the next project, and I'm falling for the two guys already, so I'm eager to work on their story.

Oh! And thanks to inxsomniax for the wonderful Valentine! You're such a sweetheart!
