Then, it was off to the salon where we both got haircuts. I've decided to grow out my bangs, for the first time since...high school probably. I've tried in the past, but I've always gotten frustrated and then proceeded to hack them off again, but I waited longer before getting a haircut this time and they work really well with the soft layers around my face. I got 7" cut off, too, so now it sits on my shoulders. I go back in a month to get it colored before I start hitting the writing cons this year. This was my first time with this girl, but she was fantastic. Personable, and knowledgeable, and fun, and really talked me through what she was doing. She's a keeper, for sure.
It was 6 before Alicia and I were done, and I had to race home to get dinner going because everybody was starved. Thank god my beef lo mein only takes 15 minutes to do, lol. And now I'm beat, and wondering how I'm ever going to make it past 10.
But it was a good day. And Alicia hugged me more than once and told me how much fun she was having with me, and that she was glad we could do it. And that, all by itself, makes the whole day worth it.
