Thursday weigh-in

So two weeks in to Weight Watchers...Things are going well. I'm feeling in control, I don't feel *hugely* deprived, and I've discovered some new healthy recipes with tons of flavor. I think the hardest part is reconditioning my brain to accept that some of my meal shortcuts - while perhaps timesavers - are not the healthiest options in the world. But it's coming. Slowly, but surely. :)

Things I've changed:

1. Less Diet Mountain Dew. Anybody who knows me knows how addicted I am to the stuff. It was easy for me to drink 5 or 6 cans a day in place of anything else. Now, I only have 2 cans, and alternating with water instead.
2. I've actually added snacks. Well, a piece of fruit mid morning or mid afternoon if I'm peckish. It stops me from really eating a ton at lunch or dinner then, and makes it easier to maintain portion size.
3. My newest treat for myself? Baking a banana with a sprinkle of cinnamon over it for dessert. Oh. My. God. I've always loved banana fritters, but apparently, I don't need all that batter and frying in oil to get the flavor I love so much. Yay!

I weighed in this morning. 7 pounds in 2 weeks. I'm very pleased. :)
