“Spike…” Grabbing his head, she pulled him back up so that their mouths were level, devouring him down in another kiss while she threw her leg over his hip and pinioned him to the mattress at her side.
But I'm going to tell you right now, it's not going to go up tonight. It's 11pm and I'm about to fall over. It's just been one of those days.
Alex's birthday is the 14th, but since his grandparents aren't available next weekend, we're having his party tomorrow. Which means I spent most of today getting ready---shopping, and wrapping (OK, watching Craig wrap and handing him tape, he's really much better than me at it), and getting food organized. He has a chocolate cake in the shape of a hedgehog just sitting on the kitchen counter and waiting to be devoured. And in the morning, I have a lasagna to get ready for a noontime meal, and dips to prepare, and children to get dressed. God, I'm tired already just thinking about it.
But if I get up early enough, maybe I can finish the chapter in the morning before everyone shows up. In between the cooking bits. That's the plan, anyway. And I'm going to do my damnedest to stick to it.
But my little man is going to be 2, and I'm excited because we're all healthy, and family's going to be here, and he's just such a happy little boy. I'm planning on taking lots of pictures, and I'll put them up so that everyone can see my little Alex Harris (and Alicia too, I won't leave her out). And I'm going to go to bed now so that I'm actually awake enough tomorrow to appreciate the day. :)
