Syesha Mercado – I suppose it was nice enough. I don’t even know what to say. It was just kind of boring. Mixing it up a little at the end wasn’t enough to bring me back to it.
Chikezie – I didn’t even recognize it when he started, but you know, the arrangement kind of worked for me. He’s not my favorite in this competition, but I thought this was a strong effort for him.
Ramiele Malubay – Nothing daring, but I thought she sounded wonderful. Just lovely.
Jason Castro – I have no idea what it is about this kid, but I LOVE him. There’s just something simple and real about him. He can’t sustain the long notes, it seems, but I don’t find myself missing them.
Carly Smithson – The best so far tonight. I loved the beginning, not so keen on the refrain, though.
David Cook – David’s not one of my favorites, but he picked the perfect song for himself tonight. Very nice.
Brooke White – Color me not surprised she picked the song she did. She seemed really nervous for some reason. And I thought she got lost behind the piano. She’s not going anywhere though. And where did her shoes go?
David Hernandez – He started out weak. It felt like he was having trouble sustaining some of the shorter notes, but then he nailed some of the bigger ones. But then he went back to sounding breathless again. At least he didn’t even bother with the oooooo’s. That would’ve been weird.
Amanda Overmyer – Rocking this song up…was very weird for me. I didn’t like the beginning at all, but then when she got into it, it felt more like Amanda.
Michael Johns – Solid. He’s safe. It’s nice seeing him doing something slow this week.
Kristy Lee Cook – Kristy bores me. That’s all there is to it. I suppose this was all right, but…yeah, I was bored.
David Archuleta – Oh, poor David forgetting the lyrics. I also didn’t like the hand gestures. Probably one of the weakest performances I’ve seen of his. What a shame.
FAVORITE THREE - David Cook, Carly Smithson, Jason Castro
BOTTOM THREE - Kristy Lee Cook, David Hernandez, Syesha Mercado
If Kristy doesn't go home tomorrow, something is seriously wrong.
