American Idol, the top 8 girls

Asia’h Epperson – She doesn’t have the power to pull off this song. She’s got the energy and bounce, but…dance song! Not a singing song! Oy.

Kady Malloy – Some problems on a couple notes. I love this song, but I just didn’t feel the passion.

Amanda Overmyer – She needs to be fronting a band. That’s all there is to it. So much better than last week.

Carly Smithson – She looked so pretty tonight! Perfect vocal, but where’s the zing?

Kristy Lee Cook – Journey as a country song? Um…no, it didn’t work for me. It felt like she was shouting the big notes at the end, too.

Ramiele Malubay – It’s hard not to let my biases against the songs affect my enjoyment, but unlike David yesterday, she didn’t sell this Phil Collins song to me. Even as nice as her bigger notes were. And what was Paula on tonight?

Brooke White – This is not a song I would have picked for her. At all. And it’s so odd to hear it as such an acoustic emo song. Except…it works perfectly for Brooke. Even if it’s not the same song.

Syesha Mercado – Solid, but safe. Nothing popped.

FAVORITE TWO - Brooke White and Carly Smithson
LEAST FAVORITE - Kady Malloy and Kristy Lee Cook

Who do I think is going home? Kady for sure. The other one...I'm torn. Could be Kristy. Could be Amanda. Could be Syesha.

My picks for the top 6:
Carly Smithson
Brooke White
Ramiele Malubay
Syesha Mercado
Asia'h Epperson
Amanda Overmyer
