Our new barristers arrived today. They're absolutely gorgeous. I've spent the entire day trying to stomp on my desire to catalog and organize all my books that are going to go in them, because I can't do it yet. Craig has to strap them to the wall because they're so tall, so until he does, I can only sit and admire how pretty they are.

*stares some more*

I haven't had the chance to organize my books in this house because we haven't had the space for it, but now I can't wait. For my fiction, I organize by alphabetical by author within genre, except for series books that I shelve separately. And then all my non-fiction gets organized by type/subject matter. I'm not the only one who organizes their books, right? I mean, I know when I'm in full organizational mode, it's a tad excessive, but otherwise, how would you find anything?

And yes, I'm one of those people who reshelve things they find out of place at the library or the book store. I already said I was obsessive/compulsive. ;)

ETA: You know, it never occurs to me that people don't know what barrister bookcases are, probably because I've loved them for so long, lol. They're glass-fronted bookcases, like this:
