American Idol, top 11

HALEY: Hey, the girl can be sexy, too! Not too bad, one of her better performances, but Simon had it right. People are going to be talking about the sex appeal, not the singing.

CHRIS R.: Borrrrrring. I was so bored throughout his whole performance. I don't get it. I just don't.

STEPHANIE: I love this Dusty Springfield song. I have it on my ipod from when Nadia Turner sang it in Season 4 (loved Nadia, whatever happened to her?). But this...I kept waiting for the sexy. For the power. This felt...whiny. I mean, Stephanie can sing, but the way she interpreted it rubbed me *really* the wrong way.

BLAKE: OK, I loved Blake before tonight, but this performance just made me love him even more. Sexy as hell, modern. Every time he looked through his lashes and sang, "Who's your daddy..." just guh. Yeah, a few of the vocals were a little shaky, but...did I mention the guh? Even with the plaid pants. ;)

LAKISHA: I think this was a very safe song for Lakisha. I mean, she sang it, but until the last note, there was no wow. And on a purely superficial note, I don't like the curls.

PHIL: I like Phil, and I thought it was a good night for him, but you know who I wish I could've seen sing this? Bo Bice. Or maybe it was just how Phil was trying to work the stage that made me think of Bo, lol.

JORDIN: This song totally didn't feel like it was 40 years old. Ohmigod. This girl just blows me away. She has such maturity and depth. A star.

SANJAYA: Do I need to say again how much I don't like this kid? Trying to rock? Um...no. This just wasn't singing. And why the hell was that girl crying in the audience?!? I know I would be because it was so bad, for some reason I don't think it's the same for her.

GINA: I wasn't keen on the vibrato, or nerves, or whatever that shaking was. And for some reason, I expected it to be bigger from her. The subdued parts were brilliant. But this would've been way better - if she'd gone much bigger on the explosive parts. Of course, what do I know, lol.

CHRIS S.: So much better than last week. Of course, last week was dreadful. But the glasses are back, yay! Not his best performance, but better than others tonight.

MELINDA: My only goosebump performance tonight. She knocks it out of the park, every single time.

My Top 3 (in order): Melinda, Blake, Jordin
My Bottom 3 (in order): Sanjaya, Chris R., Stephanie

And god, Sanjaya *better* be going home this week. That's all I have to say. This is getting ridiculous.
