I have been mostly offline for the past two days. I knew it was going to be a busy time for me, but sheesh. I managed to squeak in 1500 words yesterday to get my new book up to nearly 18k and I got comments caught up on my new fic (thank you to everybody!), but other than that, it's been crazy. Today was a baking day at a friend's who doesn't bake. She enlisted my aid because she decided she wanted to do Xmas cookies for the first time ever. Considering this was her first time, she did amazingly well. I ended up doing 3 cookies - a raspberry crumble bar, a cherry tassie, and a lemon tassie. The raspberry bar turned out *amazing*. I'm going to post that recipe some time soon. Craig's already insisted that I make another batch for him to take into work. Yesterday was just lots of little things. And then this weekend is crazy, too. Tomorrow, I have to make Alex's birthday cake (he's insisting on a racetrack this year), and we're decorating the interior of the house (because the rain is stopping us from doing the outside), and then Sunday, we're going to Chuck E. Cheese's for Alex, then coming back in the afternoon to do cake and gifts. Oh, and I have to post the next Soul chapter. ;)

And I'm going now to work on writing chapter 7. :)
